What if industrial valves, too, could have more than one life?<\/h2>\n\n\n\n

With REVAMP<\/strong> and CPFI Inox<\/strong>, DEFINOX <\/strong>is launching a second\u2011life approach focused on the installed base of valves at customer sites. The objective is to structure a dedicated channel able to recover still\u2011usable valves, reconditioning them, and reintegrating them into the industrial economy.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

\u201cToday, for private individuals, buying second\u2011hand has become natural. In industry, it\u2019s still very marginal,\u201d
reminds Laurent Maillard<\/strong>, who initiated the project on the CPFI Inox and REVAMP side.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

An Existing Resource\u2026 and a Model to Be Built<\/strong><\/h2>\n\n\n\n

For several decades, Definox has equipped leading players in the food and cosmetics industries. The result is a substantial installed base, spread across the entire territory.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

In practice, part of this valve fleet remains unused. Recipe changes, line modifications, workshop closures\u2014many situations lead to still\u2011functional equipment being taken out of service, with no straightforward solution for reuse.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

\u201cWe still have a huge installed base that represents an enormous pool of raw material, which sometimes ends up being scrapped,\u201d
summarizes Fran\u00e7ois Caudrelier<\/strong>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Rather than immediately launching a standardized offer, Definox has chosen to first structure the channel itself<\/strong>. Collecting, sorting, reconditioning, reinjecting: a process that still needs to be organized.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

\u201cThe idea is to learn, to create flows that will allow us to do this on a small scale initially, and then to expand over time.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n

A Reuse Logic Beyond Maintenance<\/strong><\/h2>\n\n\n\n

Second\u2011hand should not be confused with maintenance.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

\u201cSending a valve back, repairing it, and reinstalling it at the same customer\u2014we\u2019ve been doing that for 50 years. Second\u2011hand means a transfer of ownership.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n

A valve leaves one industrial site, is reconditioned, and then reused elsewhere. It is this circulation between stakeholders that defines the reuse model.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

To make this channel operational, Definox relies on two complementary partners:<\/p>\n\n\n\n
